Do I need to live in Aquia Harbour to list or buy?

  • Listing is reserved for Aquia Harbour residents.

  • Buying is meant for the community first, but if a seller chooses to extend beyond, that’s entirely up to them.

How much does it cost to list an item?

  • A fee applies per listing, never per sale

    • $4.99 for up to 5 items

    • $7.99 for 6–15 items

    • $10.99 for 16 or more items

Can I list multiple items?

  • Yes, you can list as many items as you’d like. There’s no limit.

Do I pay based on item size or price?

  • No. The fee is the same for every item, regardless of size or value.

How are items listed?

  • Each item is posted individually to keep listings clear, organized, and easy to browse.

Do you handle payments or pickup?

  • No. Buyers contact you directly, and you arrange payment and pickup between yourselves.

What happens after I submit my item?

  • We review your submission and publish it on the platform so local buyers can see it.

Can my listing be edited?

  • Yes, we may adjust descriptions slightly to keep listings clear and consistent.

What kind of items can I list?

  • Clean, usable items in good condition that are appropriate for the community.

How long will my listing stay live?

  • Listings stay active for a set period of 14 days or until you let us know the item is sold.

What if my item sells?

  • Just message us and we’ll remove the listing.

What if my item doesn’t sell?

  • You’re always welcome to relist your item.

  • We offer a reduced fee, 50% off relisting within 7 days.

What makes a good listing?

  • Clear photos, honest descriptions, and a fair price help your item sell faster.

Do I need to bundle items?

  • Not required, but grouping similar items (like clothes or books) helps you save on listing fees.

Where will my item be seen?

  • Your item will be featured on yourneighbormarket.com and shared across our social media channels.

  • We also periodically promote listings within the Friends of Aquia Harbour Facebook group to help increase visibility within the community.

Is the listing fee refundable if my item doesn’t sell?

  • No. The fee is for getting your item in front of the community, not for the outcome of the sale.

Can I list free items?

  • Yes! Free items are welcome and often go quickly.
